Application — Hotels

Hotel Flooring Supplier

Hotels are two specifications, not one. Guest rooms and corridors wear differently, and the lobby sees the grit that every other floor is spared.

What actually decides it

Corridors and lobbies take the abrasion

Entrance grit does more damage than footfall. Specify the heavier wear layer where guests arrive, and specify barrier matting — it often lets you drop a gauge everywhere else.

Guest rooms need the acoustics, not the armour

Impact sound between floors is the complaint that reaches management. The attached acoustic backing matters more here than wear layer.

Wet rooms rule out wood-based board

Bathrooms and balconies see standing water. A rigid core has nothing in it to swell; an HDF board does.

Fire classification is usually a tender line

Public buildings ask for it in writing, and it is usually a pass/fail line rather than a scored one. Our SPC is flame-retardant and self-extinguishing, and emits no toxic gas; the classification is on the panel above and goes out with the quotation.
